Sheridan Ruiz

Sheridan is the Development Associate of the Religion & Society Program at the Aspen Institute and co-chair of the Emerging Leaders, an Institute-wide affinity group focused on professional development and relationship building for those early in their career or new to the Institute.

Sheridan joined the Aspen Institute in June 2021 as the Communications & Development Associate. Prior to joining the Religion & Society Program, she worked on the Bridging Voices program at the British Council USA. She began her career working at the intersection of religion and public life at Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) while earning her Masters in Ethics, Peace, and Global Affairs from American University in Washington, DC. Her expertise in both communications and development stem from her desire to bring the work of religious pluralism to new audiences.

Outside of work hours, Sheridan can often be found at the local flea market, reading, or searching for her next favorite restaurant. As a native Texan, she is determined to find the best queso in the city.
